How to install a PVC skirting board?
1. Prepare the surface
Thoroughly clean the surfaces where the board will be mounted from dust and dirt. Then degrease them with an appropriate agent and let them dry completely. This step is crucial for a lasting and aesthetic final effect.
2. Adjust the length
Measure the required length of the board and cut it to size. You can use the QUEST® miter box, QUEST® utility knife or scissors. In corners, make precise 45° cuts so that the boards fit perfectly and form neat joints.
3. Mount the board
Remove the protective layer from the adhesive tape and fix the profile in the desired place. Press the board firmly along its entire length, paying particular attention to edges and corners. Even pressure ensures stable and durable adhesion.
Gently warm the strip with warm air from a hair dryer to increase its flexibility and adhesion. (max. temperature 80°C)
4. Done!
After installation, the board is immediately ready for use. It requires no drying time or additional finishing.
Tip:
Install on clean, smooth surfaces at a temperature above 16 °C. Proper environmental conditions improve tape adhesion and ensure lasting installation.

Installation – how to install a soft PVC strip?
- Installation should be carried out at room temperature, not lower than 16°C. The skirting board should be left for approx. 1–2 hours before installation in the room where it will be installed. The same temperature of the surface and the skirting board will allow the properties of the self-adhesive tape to be used to the maximum extent.
- Before installation, thoroughly clean, degrease and dry the surface.
- Cut the skirting board to the required size. If necessary, cut the skirting board at an angle for corners.
- Bend the skirting board before installation and warm it with warm air.
- Remove the adhesive tape and stick the skirting board in the target location.
- Press the skirting board thoroughly over the entire surface.
Important information:
- Installation should be performed carefully the first time, as removing and reapplying may result in reduced durability of the adhesive tape. A damp wall or floor surface significantly reduces the installation strength.

For the application of our products, the surface should be smooth, well cleaned and degreased. It is best to use a cloth with isopropyl alcohol (IPA), and remove stubborn dirt with a plastic spatula. In the case of uneven, porous surfaces or surfaces with a textured plaster finish, an additional PVC mounting/contact adhesive should be used.
