How to install a PVC skirting board?
1. Prepare the surface
Thoroughly clean the surfaces where the skirting board will be installed from dirt and dust. Then degrease them with an appropriate agent and allow them to dry completely. This step is crucial for a durable and aesthetic final result.
2. Adjust the length
Measure the required length of the skirting board and cut it to size. You can use a QUEST® utility knife or scissors for cutting. In corners, make precise 45° cuts so that the boards fit perfectly and create neat joints.
3. Mounting the skirting board
Remove the protective layer from the adhesive tape and attach the profile in the desired place. Press the skirting board firmly along its entire length, paying particular attention to the edges and corners. Even pressure ensures a stable and lasting installation.
Gently warm the strip with warm air from a hair dryer to increase its flexibility and adhesion. (max. temperature 80°C)
4. Done!
Once installed, the skirting board is immediately ready for use. It does not require drying time or additional finishing.
Tip:
Install on clean, smooth surfaces at a temperature above 16 °C. Proper ambient conditions improve tape adhesion and increase installation durability.

Installation – how to install a soft PVC strip?
- Installation should be carried out at room temperature, not lower than 16°C. The skirting board should be left for approx. 1–2 hours before installation in the room where it will be installed. The same temperature of the surface and the skirting board will allow the properties of the self-adhesive tape to be used to the maximum extent.
- Before installation, thoroughly clean, degrease and dry the surface.
- Cut the skirting board to the required size. If necessary, cut the skirting board at an angle for corners.
- Bend the skirting board before installation and warm it with warm air.
- Remove the adhesive tape and stick the skirting board in the target location.
- Press the skirting board thoroughly over the entire surface.
Important information:
- Installation should be performed carefully the first time, as removing and reapplying may result in reduced durability of the adhesive tape. A damp wall or floor surface significantly reduces the installation strength.

For the application of our products, the surface should be smooth, well cleaned and degreased. It is best to use a cloth with isopropyl alcohol (IPA), and remove stubborn dirt with a plastic spatula. In the case of uneven, porous surfaces or surfaces with a textured plaster finish, an additional PVC mounting/contact adhesive should be used.
