Do skirting boards have a self-adhesive layer?

How to install PVC skirting boards? How to prepare the surface for installation?

Installation should be carried out at room temperature. The surface must be thoroughly cleaned and degreased, and any unevenness removed. Cut the board to the required length. For self-adhesive versions, remove the protective film and press firmly. For boards without adhesive tape, use a PVC mounting contact adhesive.

Can skirting boards be cut to size?

Yes, they can be trimmed as needed using a utility knife or regular scissors. We also recommend: QUEST angle shears.

Are skirting boards UV-resistant?

Yes. They are made from high-quality PVC characterized by UV resistance. As a result, they do not discolor under sunlight, retaining their appearance and color even after long-term use.

Can skirting boards be used on different types of surfaces, e.g., panels or tiles?

Yes, the boards can be used on various surface types such as panels or tiles. Thanks to their versatility, they can be used on many materials, providing protection and an aesthetic finish both in residential and commercial spaces.

You only need to ensure the surface is properly prepared before installation.

Can skirting boards be used in high-humidity rooms?

Yes, skirting boards are made from PVC, so they are ideally suited for high-humidity rooms such as bathrooms, kitchens, or laundries. They are resistant to water vapor and do not absorb moisture, so they do not warp or lose their properties over time. Additionally, they are easy to clean, making them a practical and durable solution for humid environments.

What material are the skirting boards made of?

The boards are made from PVC. This material provides flexibility and resistance to damage, making the boards effective in protecting surfaces.
